What the role is

The Heritage Conservation Centre (HCC), an institution under the National Heritage Board, plays a leading role in heritage conservation in Singapore. It is also the repository and conservation facility for the management and preservation of Singapore’s National Collection (NC).

As part of the HCC team, you will be working closely with curators, collections managers, information technology managers and conservators to develop and manage systems to ensure the life journeys of the NC are well documented for our future generations.

What you will be working on

  • Manage HCC’s systems for the National Collection, loans and other collections, including data architecture, system administration, workflows, system changes and user training.

  • Support the streamlining and enhancement of business processes related to systems in HCC and across NHB. This includes collection and analysis of user requirements and prepare proposals for clearance.

  • Manage project vendors and stakeholders across NHB, coordinating and tracking timelines and performance to ensure smooth implementation of the project.

  • Support the management of accounts (processing applications to creation and updating of accounts) for HCC’s knowledge management systems.

  • Ensure systems adhere to government guidelines.

  • Ensure collection data is accurately maintained and updated by users, and support data cleansing and verification activities.

  • Participate as a member in work groups on topics related to collection management or institutional excellence.

  • Any other ad-hoc duties and projects assigned.

What we are looking for

System Product Management

  • Ability to plan and manage system-related projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to objectives

  • Experience in working with developers to streamline and automate business workflows

  • Ability to identify and implement system improvements and risk management plans

  • Skills in managing system access frameworks and information protocols

  • Demonstrated ability to guide users on system functionalities and processes

  • Competent in MS Office and able to quickly pick up computer skills and knowledge

  • Meticulous, organised and independent in system administration and data management

Stakeholder Management

  • Experience in working with diverse groups including curators, collections managers, IT managers and conservators

  • Proven ability to manage project vendors and stakeholders

  • Demonstrate positive attitude, strong teamwork capabilities and user-centric thinking

Other Traits

  • Preferably at least 2 years of working experience in disciplines such as project management, user management, information systems, business process improvements or collections management.

  • Willing to learn and able to multi-task and handle multiple projects concurrently

  • Good communication, writing and time management skills

  • Keen interest in heritage and culture

Successful candidates will be offered a 2-year contract in the first instance.
