What the role is

The Singapore Police Force (SPF) plays a critical role in keeping Singapore safe and secure with our mission to prevent, deter and detect crime. ITD drives the adoption of Instructional Technologies by collaborating with Home Team Science and Tech Agency (HTX), SPF Ops-Tech Department (OTD), training units and external partners to enhance training efficiency, and effectiveness through projects development and familiarization training conducted for trainers and end-users. ITD manage the end-to-end process ranging from project conceptualization, planning and procurement to ground trial, commissioning and implementation. As 4 Staff Officer in Instructional Technology Division, you are responsible to drive the development and implementation of innovative instructional technologies to enhance training delivery across SPF and conducting market research and strategic assessments on AI integration opportunities for new or existing training tech systems. The jobholder is required to drive and foster key partnerships with industry stakeholders, education institution partners to explore and implement AI-enabled learning and data-enabled flipped learning pedagogies within SPF's training landscape. The jobholder is also the SPF Liaison Officer for Home Team Learning Management System (HTLMS 2.0) working with Home Team Academy on change management and co-development efforts to meet SPF training needs. The jobholder also drives and maintains oversight of developmental efforts in training technology projects and initiatives e.g. Data Analytics and RPA thru collaboration with HTX, SPF OTD and training units for progress reporting at monthly department meeting or/and appropriate management meeting platform. You will be placed under the Management Executive (MX) Scheme.

What you will be working on

REQUIREMENTS • Field of study in Infocomm Technology (ITD)/Computer Science/Engineering or related discipline with preferably minimum 3-5 years of working experience in the mentioned related fields. • Have good written and communication skills. • Possess good analytical and problem-solving skills. • Motivated, meticulous and driven to achieve task completion on time with strong attention to details and accuracy. • Able to work under tight deadlines and be responsive to request in a fast-paced environment. • Have good interpersonal skills and able to work in teams and with stakeholders and partners. • Able to articulate and staff written submission on projects Approval of Requirement (AOR) and developmental progress to Head/DD/Dir for clearance and approval. • Possess good acumen in strategic development of technology to draft submission governing the training technology ecosystem in SPF. • Possess good knowledge and know-how in AI and Large Language Modelling (LLM) landscape and future developments.

As 4 Staff Officer in Instructional Technology Division, your roles and responsibilities includes to: • Drive and collaborate with various stakeholders and partners in the short and long-term development and implementation of innovative instructional technologies (projects/systems) to enhance training delivery across SPF and conducting market research and strategic assessments on AI integration opportunities for new or existing training tech systems • Develop and maintains oversight of developmental efforts in training technology projects and initiatives e.g. Data Analytics and RPA thru collaboration with HTX, SPF OTD and training units for progress reporting at monthly department meeting or/and appropriate management meeting platform. • Prioritize and perform tasking and assignment as directed by Head Instructional Technology Division.
