We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to spearhead the design, development, and deployment of a secure, scalable, and high-performance biometric authentication system. This role focuses on integrating edge computing with cloud infrastructure to deliver robust, compliant, and efficient solutions. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in cloud technologies, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), DevOps practices, and a strong emphasis on security and biometric data handling, driving innovation and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Architect and implement system solutions following industry best practices and well-architected principles, ensuring scalability, high availability, disaster recovery, and cost efficiency.
Develop, maintain, and optimize modular, reusable Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using modern tools like Terraform for streamlined infrastructure management.
Implement advanced monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure infrastructure health, performance, and security.
Lead the technical design and implementation of a biometric authentication system, ensuring scalability, fault tolerance, and compliance with data protection regulations (e.g., PDPA).
1. Developing test plans and acceptance criteria for biometric devices and edge computing components
2. Creating test cases covering functional, performance, security, and compatibility aspects
3. Establishing testing environments that simulate real-world conditions
4. Defining validation protocols for biometric accuracy and reliability
5. Drive hardware-software integration testing and validation, with particular focus on:
- Biometric device integration and performance validation
- Edge computing component testing and verification
- End-to-end system integration testing
- Performance and reliability testing under various conditions
