What the role is

Project title: Comparative study of Singapore's foreign workforce policy framework with global competitors [Tentative, subject to change depending on policy priorities] A comparative study of Singapore's foreign workforce policy framework in relation to global competitors. The intern will assess if Singapore's framework meets the twin goals of attracting top talent while ensuring that the foreign workers are complementary to our local workforce. The intern may undertake ad hoc tasks in support of the Division's operations, as assigned.

What you will be working on

The intern will undertake a comparative study of Singapore's foreign workforce policy framework in relation to global counterparts such as Hong Kong and Australia. The intern will assess whether Singapore's framework meets the twin goals of attracting top talent while ensuring that the foreign workers are complementary to our local workforce. The intern will also study how global counterparts develop local pipelines of skilled tradesmen and put forth recommendations based on the research.
