We are program-oriented towards the digital economy part of applications within GovTech. We run like a modern product company, solving important underserved problems in the public sector. Some of the problem spaces we are working on include healthcare, workforce transformation, and AI-driven workplace productivity solutions.

What you will be working on

We’re looking for a Software Engineer to join the teams behind MyCareersFuture and Jobseeker Support — mission-driven public digital services that support over 200,000 monthly active jobseekers and 30,000 active employers across Singapore.

As a Software Engineer, your work will directly help people find jobs, explore career pathways, and access timely support during critical life transitions. We’re embarking on a redesign of the individual dashboard and user journeys as we pivot into a career portal to empower individuals to explore career possibilities and identify their strengths, enabling them to make better informed career decisions.

Additionally, you will drive the design, implementation & delivery of one or more products owned by your squad.

Your responsibilities will include:

Design and build modern, user-centric web applications with a focus on reliability, security, and scalability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (designers, QEs, PMs) to deliver full-stack features from UI to cloud deployment.
Write clean, maintainable, and testable code using modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
Build APIs and backend services using Node.js and/or Golang.
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred).
Participate in code reviews, testing practices, and architectural discussions.
Mentor and support teammates, fostering a culture of growth and continuous learning.

What we are looking for

Must-haves

2+ years of experience building and deploying modern web applications using JavaScript and TypeScript.
Strong hands-on experience with React.js for front-end development.
Practical experience in full-stack development, integrating UIs with APIs and backend services.
Familiarity with Node.js and/or Golang for backend service development.
Demonstrated experience with automated testing frameworks such as Jest, Playwright, Cypress, or similar.

Nice-to-haves (bonus points)

Experience deploying services using AWS, Terraform, Docker, or other cloud/infra tools.
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.).
Understanding of cloud-native architecture, microservices, or container orchestration.
Familiarity with Vite/Webpack, or other build tooling processes.
Experience working in Agile teams and participating in Scrum rituals.

Soft skills and team fit

Willingness and ability to mentor, share knowledge, and support team members.
Strong collaboration, self-management, and communication skills.
