As an Infrastructure Planning Officer, you will oversee the planning and development of the new Home Team Vehicle Pound (HTVP) to effectively support enforcement operations across Home Team agencies.

What you will be working on
Your key responsibility areas include:
Project management
• Lead the development of the HTVP project.
• Responsible for managing project timelines, budgets and deliverables.
• Manage open tender exercises and implementing contract variations.
• Deliver regular status updates to senior management through staff submissions and presentations at key meetings, ensuring timely communication of project milestones and developments.
Infrastructure development / space leasing
• Collaborate with the Home Team and external stakeholders to define project requirements, ensuring that operational needs are accurately translated into infrastructure specifications.
• Ensure the premises have comprehensive security systems, physical protection measures and fire safety features to maintain the integrity of impounded vehicles held as evidence.
• Manage the infrastructure development and/or space leasing of the HTVP.
Operations management and outsourcing
• Oversee the outsourcing of operations by establishing comprehensive operational requirements, including staffing levels and work scope for round-the-clock vehicle pound operations, while putting in place service recovery protocols, and contractual terms and penalties for effective contract management.
• Develop detailed operational specifications and processes for the HTVP, accounting for the needs of the Home Team departments and external stakeholders sharing the premises.
• Consider the different work processes amongst the users while ensuring that their vehicle exhibit management requirements and protocols are compiled with by the contractors.
What we are looking for
REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge and skills
• Field of studies preferably in Project Management, Civil Engineering or Technological Processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Good command of English with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Experience
• Previous experience in project management, resource planning and operations outsourcing would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of interpreting structural layout plans would also be beneficial.
