What the role is
What you will be working on
a) Develop and create social media products & campaigns to complement communications plans for MOT messages and announcements, address potential blind spots and possible communication gaps
b) Develop strategies to leverage new trends where relevant to deliver engaging content to educate our target audiences
c) Produce creative content for social media platforms of MOT principals and MOT to communicate and amplify key messages
d) Work with colleagues to plan and support the engagement of MOT principals and MOT stakeholder groups
e) Keep pulse on ground sentiments on transport issues to support communications strategies
f) Social media community management including organisation of social media contents and, management of user generated content
g) Work with social media collaborators to acquire positive mindshare for our policies and announcements
What we are looking for
• Ability to produce/edit creative content such as social media reels, photos, infographics, etc, and hands on experience in content management;
• Keen interest in keeping up to date with the latest digital technologies and social media trends
• Good knowledge of analytical tools including but not limited to SEO, Google analytics and Facebook insights, to assess the effectiveness of social media content and campaigns;
• Possess excellent written, spoken communications and presentation skills; and
• Meticulous attention to details is necessary as well as the ability to multi-task, work as a team and work well under tight deadlines.

The ministry sets the strategic and policy direction while operations and regulatory works are carried out by the statutory boards under its charge. There are four statutory boards which are established by Acts of Parliament: the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS), the Land Transport Authority (LTA), the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) and the Public Transport Council (PTC). The ministry also oversees the operation of the Transport Safety Investigation Bureau (TSIB).
