What the role is

You are responsible for logistics procurement and facility management, overseeing inventory lifecycle management, safety protocols, and maintenance of facilities while supervising access control and security measures.

What you will be working on

- Provide efficient and responsive logistics support to the unit - Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure the smooth operations of logistics system - Onboard, train and guide staff in daily administrative tasks, including usage of IT productivity applications and software - Monitor and manage building and infrastructure, including usage, inspection, repairs, maintenance, additions and alterations - Maintain accurate accounting of logistics assets and inventory - Handle finance, procurement and contract administration including budget planning, sourcing, evaluation of offers and monitoring of deliveries and payments Challenge(s) - Stay up to date of relevant logistics and finance initiatives and developments to ensure continued service delivery to stakeholders. - Regularly review and improve work processes and SOPs. - Being familiar with the Logistic Support Management Plan (LSMPs) and to work closely with Custodians to ensure accurate accounting of assets and inventory under your assigned storage locations

What we are looking for

- Education in Business Administration, STEM, or Supply Chain Management - At least 2 years of experience in Logistics and Finance and/or related professional qualifications, preferably involving audit checks - Customer and service oriented with a strong focus on providing responsive logistics support - Willing to unlearn and re-learn - Good organisational awareness - Resourceful - Ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment Appointment will be commensurate with your experience.
