Reporting to the Chief Executive, you will play a part in driving the strategic mission of the Attorney-General's Chambers (AGC), leading transformation and change to enable AGC to deliver legal services to Government. You will champion a client-centric culture, leading the delivery of quality work, nurturing of quality people, and ensuring that AGC is supported by quality systems and processes.
Specifically, you will be leading the Corporate Services Division (CSD) and play a pivotal role in overseeing and providing strategic direction for corporate affairs for the whole of AGC, including budget and finance, risk management, procurement, strategy and transformation, human resources, organisational development, communications, office management, security, and information technology, in order to deliver on its mission to be a trusted partner by placing all AGC officers at the heart of our services.

What the role is
What you will be working on
Responsibilities:
- Working with senior management to set and implement effective corporate and strategic goals and directions for AGC
- Directing the delivery of corporate services to the whole of AGC
- Ensuring good corporate governance and accountability
Building organisational capability through institution and implementation of an effective human resources management and development framework
- Achieving organisational excellence and ensuring client centricity through performance measurement and development
- Instituting sound financial policies and effective budget planning and utilisation across AGC
- Instituting and implementing business process reviews and re-engineering to achieve organisational excellence and the systematic collation of data and performance indicators
- Ensuring effective corporate communications with the media, internal and external stakeholders
- Leading the formulation and implementation of information technology policies and use of information technology to drive and support organisational excellence
What we are looking for
Requirements:
- At least 15 years of experience in corporate management and administration, including at least 5 years in a senior management role
- A proven track record of managing a department (preferably in the delivery of corporate services) and change management
- Good political acumen
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound judgements and quick decisions based on sound reasoning across wide-ranging issues
- Strong communication and networking skills to maintain relationships with stakeholders
- Good people management and interpersonal skills to influence people and outcomes positively
- High self-motivation and effective multi-tasking abilities
