What you will be working on
The incumbent will implement quality assurance frameworks within ActiveSG and execute safety education initiatives across Singapore’s sporting ecosystem. The role ensures effective execution of workplace health and safety certifications including ISO 45001, develops safety promotion programmes and collaterals, and maintains strong partnerships with stakeholders to promote safety excellence across both SportSG operations and the broader sporting community.
Role and Responsibilities
• Manage organisation-wide ISO 45001 certification and accreditation programmes, ensuring alignment with international standards.
• Design and implement comprehensive audit frameworks and assessment methodologies across varied sport facilities.
• Lead quality assurance initiatives that strengthen safety governance.
• Ensure compliance with Ministry of Manpower's Workplace Safety and Health requirements.
• Manage all requirements for ASG-SDG OHS Working Committee and ISO 45001 Management Committee.
• Establish robust quality management systems and documentation protocols that meet statutory requirements.
• Develop industry-leading quality benchmarks for workplace safety and health excellence.
• Shape organisational safety culture through implementation of strategic recognition frameworks and industry-level awards with national partners.
• Execute impactful staff engagement initiatives that strengthen safety ownership across SportSG.
• Organise innovative recognition programmes including ActiveSG Star Safety Award and national-level safety excellence schemes (BizSafe).
• Manage culture-building initiatives that position the division as an authority in safety excellence.
• Develop comprehensive safety leadership programmes across all levels and and industry.
• Manage safety innovation recognition platforms that celebrate ground-up initiatives.
• Design strategic engagement frameworks for 8,000-10,000 sport coaches and fitness professionals.
• Foster partnerships with National Sports Associations for safety excellence recognition.
• Develop safety education training programmes (e.g. Risk Management in Sport) aligned with industry needs, training for volunteers).
• Establish strategic partnerships with experts and Institutes of Higher Learning for capability development.
• Design innovative and engaging learning solutions (interactive modules, microlearning content, and immersive materials) and resources (guides for concussion, heat management, etc)
• Support safety capability building initiatives across sporting ecosystem with stakeholders.
• Manage large-scale safety awareness campaigns and national initiatives (World Day for Safety and Heath at Work).
• Develop content on safety awareness across multiple platforms (corporate website, roadshows).
• Manage centralised knowledge management system for safety resources.
• Drive business partnerships in training and safety matters for assigned Zones/Divisions, ensuring strategic alignment with organisational objectives.
• Develop and implement project frameworks to ensure consistent delivery standards.
• Lead internal working groups to drive strategic training priorities.
• Oversee project evaluation and reporting to ensure achievement of objectives.

In addition, an ideal candidate should possess the following:
• At least 5 years of experience in enforcing policies and managing programmes.
• Experience in audit, compliance, marketing, research and workplace health and safety would be an advantage.
• Proven ability to foster collaborative efforts by building partnerships with stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proven project management and organisational capability
• Effective stakeholder management ability
• Strong attention to detail
• Demonstrated initiative and proactiveness
• High level of accountability
• Adaptable team player
The level of offer will commensurate with applicants’ experience and track records. Successful candidates will be offered a 2/3-year contract in the first instance.
