As a Senior Head/ Senior Manager in the University Policy Branch, Higher Education Policy Division, you will be part of a dynamic team involved in the formulation, review and implementation of policies to develop the higher education landscape in Singapore, with a specific focus on the Autonomous Universities (AUs) sector.
This position will give you an in-depth understanding of the AUs; opportunities to work closely with the AUs, other government agencies, and stakeholders; an appreciation of a wide range of policy and operational considerations in the social and economic domains; and an opportunity to shape the future of the higher education landscape.

What the role is
What you will be working on
• Formulate, review and implement a wide range of policies concerning the AU sector (e.g. governance, funding and resourcing, educational pathways, course offerings, student engagements and activities etc) to prepare students for work and for life, and further build on the strengths and reputations of the AUs
• Conduct longer-term strategic planning of the AU sector, to prepare the AUs and students to thrive in the future workplace and world
• Guide the AUs on the operationalisation of policies and where Ministry-level support is needed, including working with other MOE HQ divisions
• Assess opportunities and represent the AU sector’s interests in international collaborations concerning university education
• Support MOE political office holders and senior management in local and overseas engagements related to university education
