The Operational Planning Officer plays a crucial role in ensuring the effective planning, coordination, and execution of national level cybersecurity operations within the organisation. This position requires an individual with a background in cybersecurity, strategic planning and/or operational
execution. The officer will collaborate with cross-functional teams within the organisation or across agencies to develop, implement, and continually enhance cybersecurity strategies, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities
Strategic Ops Policy and Plans
• Develop national cyber defence ops policies, doctrines, standards and guidelines to defend Singapore against cyber attack and respond appropriately against the attacker. This may include the development of mitigation strategies to enhance the organisation’s cybersecurity posture and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Ops Plans Implementation
• Implement national cybersecurity resilience operational plans aligned with organisational goals and industry best practices. Stay abreast of emerging cybersecurity technologies and trends and recommend tools and solutions to enhance the national and organisation level security posture. Work closely with IT, compliance, legal, and other relevant teams to ensure seamless integration of cybersecurity initiatives into overall business operations.
Ops Coordination and Management Reporting
• Coordinate national ops responses with key government agencies to defend CII and Singapore cyberspace against cyber attack. Coordinate and provide timely situation/ incident reports to senior management to support decision making for incident management. Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly report on the effectiveness of cybersecurity operations to senior management.
CMG(Cyber) Secretariat
• Shape meeting agenda, monitor/ report progress of tasks by various action parties, record notes of meetings and maintain records of key decisions and actions list made during various meetings.
Team Leadership (for senior officers)
Officer must provide leadership to the junior ops planning officers that are part of his/her team. Officer must maintain situation awareness and be able to identify significant cybersecurity issues that may impact Singapore, so that appropriate planning and intervention measures are initiated at the critical time.
What we are looking for
Requirements:
• Relevant degree/ qualifications in cybersecurity, computer science, engineering, economics or equivalent.
• Experience/ knowledge in cybersecurity operational planning, cyber incident response or other cybersecurity skillsets (e.g. network security, digital forensic) will be an advantage.
• Interest in developing cybersecurity knowledge or skills is necessary.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, oral and written communication skills, including the ability to produce clear and concise incident reports.
• Good stakeholder management skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and internal/external stakeholders.
• Possess professional cybersecurity certifications would be an advantage.
