What the role is
What you will be working on
The Legal, Vehicles (Regulation and Licensing) Division (LV(R&L)) (“Division”) provides legal services to various LTA divisions on emerging land transport matters including the regulation and development of autonomous vehicles, next generation road pricing, active mobility and point-to-point passenger transport services.
As a member of the Division, you will be part of a team working on land transport matters of national and public interest to deliver creative and workable solutions. You will work closely with LTA’s policy and operations divisions to provide legal advice on a wide range of regulatory and licensing issues relating to policies that are being formulated and work with the divisions to achieve the intended outcome. Given the emerging and disruptive nature of the technology in the matters that the Division deals with, you will be challenged to be forward-thinking to anticipate and address implications from a legal perspective. You will also be required to research, prepare and render legal advice, draft contracts and other legal documents, and generally advise on LTA’s contractual risks and obligations.
What we are looking for
• Tertiary qualification in Law
• Qualified Person under the Legal Profession Act or called to the Singapore Bar
• Pro-active, solution and service-oriented mind set
• Positive attitude, self-motivated, willing to learn, collaborative and a team player
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Good communication, drafting and interpersonal skills
