What the role is

This role works in partnership with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the Learning and Development (L&D) team drives a high-performing growth culture within the Polytechnic. Reporting to the Deputy Director HR Development, the candidate will be leading and implementing organisation-wide L&D and staff engagement initiatives/projects.

What you will be working on

  • Provide full range of L&D services for the organisation that involve designing, organizing, and managing the baseline and milestone programmes for staff.
  • Partner with HR functional teams and specialists to ensure proper budget and smooth logistics for L&D events
  • Support organizational change by collaborating with business units and senior management to identify training needs and implement all learning and development related issues
  • Oversee the full spectrum of L&D functions including strategic learning and development planning, career development initiatives, sponsorship programmes, competency frameworks, learning management system, and onboarding to support organizational growth
  • Formulate and implement L&D policies and procedures which ensure the effective retention of high-quality employees
  • Prepare L&D reports for management review
  • Lead employee engagement initiatives across the Polytechnic, including the execution of engagement surveys and the implementation of targeted intervention plans based on survey insights
  • Participate in any organisation or sector-wide projects as required

What we are looking for

  • At least 6-8 years of experience in HR, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role
  • Ability to work independently as well as a team-player
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of common productivity tools to aid digitalization efforts, and Workday system would be good (but not a must)
