You will be involved in the productisation and technology transfer of R&D outcomes within HDB’s Building & Research Institute. This includes supporting product development or enhancement efforts, and ensuring successful adoption of technologies by industry partners through effective stakeholder engagement. Additionally, you will stay updated on emerging technology and market trends, providing guidance and support to internal R&D teams.

You shall • Perform product and usability studies to identify areas for product enhancement, based on industry requirements and market trends • Create design concepts, specifications, drawings, and 3D models for rapid prototyping • Collaborate with R&D teams and industry partners to ensure design feasibility and successful technology implementation • Facilitate technology transfer activities, including engagements with public agencies, researchers and industry partners • Preparing product materials and organising industry engagement sessions, such as exhibitions • Develop technology transfer plans for new products through market research and analyses • Perform additional tasks and take on ad-hoc projects as required

• Background in Industrial Engineering & Design, Product Development, Engineering, or related disciplines • Proficient in 3D CAD or modelling software and design visualisation tools • Experienced or skilled in rapid prototyping, including 3D printing • Understanding of materials and manufacturing processes • Able to communicate and deliver product briefs well • Strong understanding of human-centred design • Knowledge of business development, intellectual property management, or IoT will be an advantage • Able to work independently and be an effective team player Successful candidates will be offered a 2-year contract as a start.
