What the role is
As a Manager/Assistant Director, Strategic Engagement in the Strategic Communications and Engagement Division, you will be part of a team that drives and deepens engagement with internal and external stakeholders, and citizens in support of the Ministry’s outcomes. You will be able to create more opportunities for Singaporeans to partner the government, and with one another, to own, shape and act on our shared future together.
What you will be working on
• Formulate engagement strategy and align MND Family agencies with WOG and MND engagement priorities
• Design and implement engagement touchpoints with key stakeholders to promote balanced understanding of MND’s policies, obtain input to inform work areas and create opportunities for co-creation and co-delivery with partners
• Partner WOG agencies to reach relevant and diverse stakeholder groups, and work with policy divisions and strategic communications teams to align operations and outcomes
• Develop engagement capability within MND Family agencies and among volunteers/partners to promote active citizenry
• Support divisional operations and secretariat duties
What we are looking for
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in public policy, political science, communications, marketing or related field
• Strong writing, communications, stakeholder management and project management skills
• Strong interpersonal skills, with ability and experience in engaging and managing stakeholders across all levels of seniority internally and externally.
• Possesses positive attitude, excellent work ethic and is a team player
• Self-motivated with high level of initiative, willingness to learn and able to work independently
