In addition to industry partners – such as innovators, investors, tech companies and key associations – we work closely with the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), Cybersecurity Agency (CSA), Smart Nation and Digital Government Office (SNDGO), Government Technology Agency (GovTech), the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI), and Digital Industries Singapore (DISG) as well as other Whole-of-Government stakeholders.
· Analyse and understand the intersection of tech and industry developments, to identify salient trends and the opportunities/threats they present for Singapore;
· Formulate policy responses to advance Singapore’s longer-term interests, including by developing policy principles, and deploying the full suite of Government interventions within the economic domain (e.g. innovation and infrastructure investments, regulations, partnerships, direct provision, accreditation, and standard-setting, among others);
· Work across other parts of Government (including the agencies mentioned above) to translate growth in the Digital Economy into opportunities for value creation and good jobs, while managing trade-offs in the security and social domains;
· Strategically review the budgets and programmes for Digital Economy initiatives delivered by our statutory boards; and
