What the role is

The Change Manager will lead and manage the “heartware” aspects of the Transformation Project Office, ensuring successful adoption of new technologies, processes, and service models. This role combines traditional change management with key responsibilities in communication leadership, citizen engagement, and the development of training and competency programs, all focused on delivering superior user experience and service excellence in a smart, connected sports environment. A critical component of the role is fostering strong, ongoing engagement with citizens to ensure their needs and feedback shape Sport SG’s transformation and overall experience.

What you will be working on

Key Responsibilities: • Act as a trusted advisor and change champion for leadership and frontline teams, providing guidance and support to drive behavioural change. • Develop and implement comprehensive change management strategies tailored to the needs of a Transformation Project Office, ensuring alignment of the transformation goals with the organisation’s strategies and objectives. • Lead the user journey mapping and develop interventions plans to close the gap in the user journey, based on user feedback, data and analytics. • Serve as the Communication Lead for change initiatives, crafting clear, consistent, and engaging communication plans that inform, motivate, and engage all internal and external stakeholders—including staff, athletes, coaches, and citizens. • Design and deliver multi-channel communication campaigns (e.g., newsletters, workshops, digital content) that promote transparency and foster a culture of openness during transformation. • Develop and oversee training, competency and engagement programs to equip employees and partners with the skills and knowledge needed to effectively use new technologies, tools, and processes introduced through the transformation journey, resulting in adoption and building of capabilities. • Collaborate with stakeholders and learning teams to identify skill gaps and tailor training curricula that support long-term operational excellence and service quality. • Monitor and measure the effectiveness of communication, training, and change activities through surveys, feedback, and adoption metrics, adjusting plans as necessary to optimize outcomes. • Foster ongoing feedback loops to continuously improve transformation efforts and reinforce a culture of continuous learning and adaptability. • Ensure a user-centric approach in all change activities, prioritising the experience of employees, athletes, and citizens. • Identify and mitigate risks related to change resistance, ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations and service delivery.

What we are looking for

We are looking for self-motivated individuals who value integrity, teamwork and take pride in going the extra mile. This individual should preferably be a sport advocate who leads an active lifestyle and wants to be involved in facilitating opportunities for more people to Live Better through Sport. The ideal candidate should possess the following: Qualifications and Experience: • Relevant background in Business, Communications, Organisational Development, Sports Management, or related field. • At least 15 years of experience in change management, preferably in technology-driven or sports-related environments. • Proven expertise in communication planning and execution, including digital communication channels. • Experience designing and delivering training and competency development programs linked to transformational change. • Familiarity with smart technologies and user experience principles within sports or facility management sectors is an advantage. • Strong facilitation, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills. • Change management certification (e.g., Prosci, ACMP) is preferred. The level of offer will be commensurate with applicants’ experience and track records. Successful candidates will be offered a 3-year contract in the first instance.
