What the role is
As an Engineer in the Catchment and Waterways Department’s Infrastructures & Facilities Renewal & Development Unit/ Reservoir Management division, the main roles and responsibilities would include but not limited to:
What you will be working on
• Manage infrastructure & facilities renewal works according to specifications, ensuring timely delivery of milestones
• Seek funding for projects including putting up proposals for approval
• Call and award tenders for renewal works
• Coordinate, consult and obtain approval from other stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation of works
• Engage Qualified Persons/Professional Engineers/agencies on the works
• Prepare budget proposals and monitor expenditure, prepare reports and presentations to management.
• Manage public engagement and ensure timely response to public feedback on issues during the work
This post would be required to remain contactable at all times and may be activated to site in times of need.
What we are looking for
• Degree in Civil/ Structural/ Environmental Engineering
• Preferably with at least 2-3 years of experience in project management
• Independent, result-oriented, and self-driven team player with good communication and contract management skills
• Able to attend to work on weekends and after office hours when required
