The Singapore Police Force plays a critical role in Singapore’s Criminal Justice System with its mission to protect Singapore and to prevent, deter and detect crime. The availability of high-quality data is important to support law enforcement operations, investigations, strategy and policy formulation in the Singapore Police Force. As an Intel Executive (Data Management), you play an important role in the collation and enrichment of crime data received, to ensure reliable and timely processing of information in the intelligence databases. You will be placed under the Management Executive Scheme

As a Data Processing Officer, you will be responsible to identify information gaps to ensure that data and information of value are comprehensive and promptly enriched in the databases. You will perform accurate and efficient data entry of crime data, cleanse and enrich existing crime data by filling information gaps and conduct collation and organisation of the data into the databases. You will also regularly review and verify the data entries to maintain high levels of data integrity and accuracy. This will contribute to organisational effectiveness through production of timely crime statistics and intelligence.

REQUIREMENTS • Personality: Strong sense of integrity, self-driven, inquisitive, creative and resourceful. Preference to work in a challenging and ever-changing operating environment. • Emotional Resilience: Able to perform effectively under stressful situations and difficult circumstances. • Effective Communication: Able to communicate both verbally and in writing effectively. Adept in using Microsoft Office XP, particularly 'Excel', Word, and 'PowerPoint' functions. • Technical skills: Proficiency in data curation, data visualisation, and/or programming will be an advantage.
