As an Assistant Engineer/Senior Assistant Engineer (Mechanical) in the Kranji Water Reclamation Plant, you will be part of the team responsible for the treatment of used water to quality suitable for NEWater production and for safe discharge to the sea. We are looking for motivate individuals to join us. Your main responsibilities are: • Assist the Supervisor to plan, document and carry out comprehensive maintenance programs for mechanical equipment in used water treatment processes such as pumps, centrifuges, thickeners, lifting equipment, diesel and gas engines. • Perform procurement, inventory and asset management functions for the maintenance and servicing of mechanical equipment • Monitor and guide contractors/subcontractors/technician to ensure performance and service level are met for maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and rectification works for mechanical equipment, and ensure the works are carried out safely and in accordance with the schedule. • Review condition assessment and service reports submitted by contractors to ensure the works were carried out in order before recommending for acceptance. • Respond to equipment abnormalities and carry out SOP when required. • Any other duties assigned. • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply • Able to work independently and a good team player • Able to respond to urgent situations outside normal working hours • Comfortable with working in used water environment and physically able to perform site works • Familiarity with predictive maintenance technologies such as vibration monitoring and its basic application to equipment maintenance will be an added advantage.
