What the role is
The Assistant Director assists the Deputy Director and Director in formulating and implementing strategic plans for Trainers' management. Leads team in policy development and quality service for courses and IGs management. Reviews work processes to enhance operational efficiency and service standards. Supports management in staff development initiatives.
What you will be working on
The Assistant Director assists the Deputy Director and Director to format strategic plans and oversee its implementation on Trainers’ management. He/She will lead the team in policy development and quality service in courses and interest groups (IGs) management.
He/She is responsible to frequently review the work processes in order to enhance the division’s image and its service standard. He/She is as and when required to assist the management to develop the staff to reach their respective potentials.
Key duties and responsibilities to meet the primary objective of the job.
- Oversees the end-to-end management of PA Trainers, including recruitment, capability development, and performance monitoring to maintain high professional standards and ensure quality programme delivery across all courses.
- Develops and recommends changes to courses policies and IG guidelines to ensure policies remain relevant, effective and aligned with stakeholder needs while supporting organisational objectives.
- Oversees and maintains proper data management and filing through systematic collection, organization, and protection of data to ensure integrity, efficiency, accuracy and compliance with security protocols.
- Oversees PA Trainers' quality through feedback management and compliance audits to maintain high training standards and ensure consistent delivery of quality programmes across all courses.
- Collates, analyses and monitors courses and IG performance data to make informed decisions, identify trends and areas for improvement, and support evidence-based policy making.
- Prepares and presents divisional policy papers to facilitate informed decision-making, ensure proper documentation of policy rationale, and secure stakeholder buy-in for implementation of new initiatives.
- Strategises and maintains relationships with key stakeholders, including Talent Management Advisory Panel (TAP), to gain professional support, and leverage expertise for programme enhancement, policy development and implementation of quality standards.
- Guides and motivates staff in policy implementation and professional development to build a competent team capable of executing strategies effectively and maintaining service excellence.
- Develops and implements structured training programmes and work plans to enhance staff competencies, drive service excellence, and build a high-performing team aligned with organisational goals.
- Monitors team budget and resource utilisation to ensure optimal use of resources while meeting organisational targets and maintaining operational efficiency.

- Representing the PA in joint projects with external/national organisations.
- Representing the Division in PA’s internal projects or committees
