What the role is
What you will be working on
Your scope of work will include, but not be limited to:
Initiate, plan, execute, monitor, and control projects that are assigned to you
Plan and manage funding and budget planning cycles for projects
Obtain planning approval and funding support
Draft project specifications to bring on board consultants and contractors
Manage the procurement processes to appoint project consultants and/or contractors
Liaise and work with stakeholders such as consultants, contractors, licensees, Managing Agents, Agencies, residents, Town Councils, industry associations, NEA departments
Work on ad-hoc work, projects helmed by the department and events as assigned
Attend to feedback pertaining to your assigned projects
Explore new technologies to improve waste collection systems
Participate in the review and update of requirements for the waste storage and collection system in the Code of Practice on Environmental Health, and the Singapore Standard for Pneumatic Waste Conveyance System (SS 642)
Identify and plan for potential DPWCS projects in commercial and private sectors
What we are looking for
Relevant Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical or Environmental Engineering
3-5 years of relevant working experience in infrastructure project management (experience with Pneumatic Waste Conveyance Systems or other similar systems would be advantageous)
Adaptable to diverse work scopes
Good written and spoken communication skills and analytical skills
Enjoy thinking strategically, planning and applying analytical reasoning in the area of Engineering
Takes the initiative to carry out plans
Communicates in a friendly manner and enjoy working with others
Pays attention to the fine details
Organised and able to multi-task
Outgoing and pleasant personality
Mature, independent, and resourceful
Self-driven and always ready to strive for improvement
