What the role is
A strategic communications professional to lead integrated marketing and publicity initiatives for the Singapore Prison Service (SPS) and Yellow Ribbon Project (YRP). In this role, you'll develop compelling campaigns, manage media relations, and create impactful content that strengthens public understanding of our rehabilitation efforts and success stories. Working with the Corporate Communications team, you'll enhance the Captain of Lives brand and drive community engagement.
This position combines creative storytelling with data-driven strategy across traditional and digital platforms. You'll manage key stakeholder relationships, oversee marketing campaigns, and provide strategic insights through analytics and performance tracking.

What you will be working on
Reporting to the Senior Assistant Director (Digital and Marketing Communications), you'll serve as a strategic advisor on integrated public communications. Your role involves developing and executing comprehensive marketing campaigns, managing media relations, and providing data-driven recommendations to enhance public perception. You'll spearhead publicity initiatives across multiple channels while maintaining robust communications protocols, including crisis management when needed.

You'll drive strategic social media management, develop compelling content across platforms, and leverage data analytics to optimize campaign performance. Your excellent stakeholder management skills will be crucial in building and maintaining relationships at all levels, both internal and external. You'll lead collaborative efforts in producing impactful media content, drive strategic partnerships, and mentor team members while managing vendors. The role requires strategic prioritisation abilities to balance competing demands, maintain high-quality deliverables, and ensure alignment with organisational objectives across SPS, YRP, and the CARE Network.
What we are looking for
You're a strategic thinker who combines creative flair with analytical skills, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about creating social impact through communications.
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field
- Digital expertise: Adobe Creative Suite, social media management, content creation
- Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication; and presentation skills in English
- Understanding of Singapore's current affairs and social landscape
- Budget and vendor management experience
