What the role is

We are looking for a results-driven, detail-oriented and creative Content Editor to copyedit, fact-check and optimise content that drives service conversion and engagement. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the content that goes out to the public has a consistent overall voice that resonates. You will be responsible for producing, managing, optimising and gatekeeping digital content on career and employment-related topics. Your work will span various formats and channels, helping to shape the digital experience and inspire proactive career development among our diverse audience. You will also develop and execute the content strategy for the distribution and sharing of assets from CareersCompass by MyCareersFuture across various social platforms. You will work closely with a cross-functional team of product managers, policy leads, marketing specialists, and professional/subject matter experts, as well as featured profiles, in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

What you will be working on

1. Overall Content Management and Gatekeeping  Review/ Copyedit content for clarity, accuracy to overall organisational and public sector messaging, and adherence to house style guidelines.  Ability to craft and copywrite persuasive copy for diverse audiences, including fresh graduates, mid-career switchers, mature workers and employers.  Ensure overall consistent tone, style and messaging for digital platforms such as CareersCompass by MyCareersFuture, social media, eDMs, and Telegram.  Develop and manage content strategy, KPIs and editorial calendars to ensure timely delivery of content.  Provide constructive feedback to writers for editorial pitches and write-ups, as well as ensure adherence to OB markers.  Identify content gaps and ensure adherence to editorial priorities of the team.  Fact-check content and verify sources for accuracy.  Proofread for grammar, punctuation, spelling, and formatting error across various formats (e.g. editorial, video script, podcast script, quiz, subtitles, etc). 2. Content Optimisation  Craft clear calls-to-action (CTAs) that drives user engagement, service sign-ups, and programme participation.  Ensure messaging is consistent, motivating, and aligned across all platforms.  Implement proper site tagging and SEO practices to increase content visibility.  Ensure site content is regularly updated and formatted both on the frontend and backend for continued improvement of site UX/UI  Work with UX/UI and optimisation manager to improve content performance.  Use data-driven insights to refine messaging and structure for higher conversion. 3. SEO & Digital Marketing Alignment  Apply SEO best practices to improve content discoverability and drive organic traffic.  Preferably familiar with keyword research tools (e.g. SEMrush, Google Keyword Planner), and able to incorporate keywords naturally into copy without compromising clarity and tone.  Collaborate closely with digital marketing managers to align content with campaign goals and user acquisition strategies. 4. Content Distribution  Develop and execute content distribution strategies across multiple owned platforms (e.g. Telegram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, eDMs, etc).  Adapt and optimise content for each platform's unique requirements and audience preferences.  Collaborate with internal teams to align efforts for the sharing of CareersCompass by MyCareersFuture content on owned platforms.  Coordinate with writers to ensure articles are appropriate for social sharing  Create necessary visual assets for various channels to ensure content sharing requirements are met.  Test different formats and strategies to maximise reach. 5. Technical & Tool Proficiency  Proficient in content management systems (e.g. WordPress), basic HTML, Google Analytics, and keyword research tools.  Bonus: Experience creating multimedia content (e.g. videos and podcasts).

What we are looking for

 >3 years of professional experience in copywriting and editing as well as familiarity with social media or content marketing, preferably in a digital-first environment.  Experience in creating content that leads to user actions and/or service uptake.  Familiarity with SEO best practices, digital marketing tools, and analytics platforms.  Good analytical skills with the ability to use insights to guide content optimisation.  Portfolio showcasing a range of writing samples across digital formats.  Experience in career guidance, workforce development, and/or public sector communications is a plus.  Excellent command of written English and exceptional attention to detail  Strong understanding of editorial best practices and style guides  Strong organisational skills and ability to work across multiple platforms whilst maintaining quality and consistency.
