What the role is
Role
The Cybersecurity Consultant, reporting to the Assistant Director in Project Management Governance Office (PMGO) who plays a crucial role in overseeing project delivery across the organisation. This position encompasses:
Project Leadership
• Managing key initiatives and coordinating Project Management and Governance Office quarterly sessions
• Supporting major projects across CSA
• Engaging with both project teams and senior stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery while maintaining compliance throughout the project lifecycle
Strategic Coordination
• Facilitating cross-divisional collaboration to enhance project best practices and deliverables
• Conducting regular project monitoring and tracking to ensure alignment with initial requirements
• Driving project efficiency and effectiveness across all CSA divisions
What you will be working on
Key Responsibilities:
(A) Project Management Office
• Assist in the staffing of the Project Management and Governance Office duties which involve:
Secretariat of Project Governance Cadence
Compile materials (lessons learned and project management best practices)
Report on health of projects
Prepare notes of meeting
Review Statistics of Projects in the organisation and derive insights to share with management
Projects tracking
Keep track of all Projects and their status in CSA, looking out for deviations in Scope, Time, Budget and Risks.
Refine Project Best Practices Guidelines for all projects in organisation
Provide Project Consulting Work for smaller project teams offering guidance in project processes, best practices, risk management and compliance guidelines
Be part of the development of a PMO center of excellence, cultivating a knowledge-sharing culture and providing training and mentorship to project management professionals.
Develop and digitalise lessons learned best practices into PMGO platform
(B) Agile Project Management
• Facilitate the adoption and implementation of Agile methodologies within project teams, ensuring alignment with project goals and business objectives.
• Organize and lead Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and sprint reviews to monitor project progress and address any issues promptly.
• Serve as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach to assist teams in understanding Agile processes and principles, encouraging continuous improvement in practices and outcomes.
• Ensure the creation and maintenance of the product backlog and prioritize and sequence the backlog according to business value or ROI.
• Assist in the development and tracking of key Agile performance metrics to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of project delivery.
• Collaborate with product owners to ensure a clear understanding of business needs and that the team is delivering value to the business through its outputs.
• Promote a collaborative team environment that fosters creativity, innovation, and commitment to quality.
Additional Responsibilities:
• Lead the planning and implementation of project initiatives across various departments or business units.
• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
• Develop full-scale project plans and associated communication documents.
• Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
• Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
• Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
• Draft and submit budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
• Plan, schedule, and track project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
• Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
• Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential risk, and devise contingency plans.
• Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
• Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.
• Conduct project postmortems and create recommendations report to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
What we are looking for
Requirements
• Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent qualifications
• At least 7 years of project management experience, with a proven track record of successfully leading Cybersecurity / IT infrastructure / Software Development projects.
• Professional certifications in PMP, Prince2, or equivalent project management certification.
• Agile knowledge and certification (PMI-ACP, ScrumMaster etc.)
• Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.
• Experience in project planning, risk management, and/or change management.
• Proven leadership abilities with a track record of time management on managing complex projects, facilitating team collaboration, and implementing effective organisational skills
• Excellent stakeholders’ engagement facing and internal communication skills.
• Proficiency in written and verbal communication.
• Exceptional problem-solving capabilities with a proactive, hands-on approach to delivering results in challenging situations
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and divisions within matrix organisational structures, driving successful project outcomes
