What the role is

Project title: Develop AI tools to assist with futuring work The intern will explore building a AI tool to scan through a wide arrary of information to identify overarching trends, emerging micro trends and black swan events that could impact Singapore's labour market for producing a comprehensive report on the outlook for MOM's operating environment in 2026 and beyond. The insights from the AI tool will be augmented with qualitative analysis and internal brainstorming sessions. The report will provide MOM with strategic foresight to navigate emerging opportunities and risks.

What you will be working on

'- Conduct literature review and identify reports, publications and resources that are relevant for analysis of future workforce and workplace trends - Design an AI tool that can effectively conduct horizon scan, distil insights, cluster issues and identify overarching trends, emerging micro trends and black swan events that could impact Singapore's labour market - Organise internal discussions to review the insights from the AI tool and validate plausibility of trends - Suggest possible signposts and implications for Singapore and propose opportunities and risk areas to look into - Compile research findings and recommendations into a comprehensive report for communication of key insights to management and officers

What we are looking for

- Background in Computer Science/data science/related disciplines with interest in AI and use of AI to support discovery of emerging trends and future possibilities for Singapore labour market
