What the role is
This role focuses on shaping leadership development in the Public Service through talent selection and future leaders initiatives.
What you will be working on
1. You will be able to influence the way the Public Service identifies and develops its leaders via coordinating and managing talent Selection and Future Leaders projects.
2. Play both leading and supporting roles in in the provision of talent selection consultancy services to both senior and mid-level stakeholders in public service agencies
3. The design and delivery of assessment and evidence-based solutions including but not limited to job analyses, competency-based interviews, assessment centres, validation, AI-driven talent solutions, and data insights.
4. Combine AI and assessment methodologies to deliver effective selection and development processes based on available tools, best practices and research.
5. Starting off from Selection, you will be exposed and given the opportunity to grow your skill set in the broader Talent Management, Leadership and Organisation Development areas.
What we are looking for
1. an interest and knowledge in Psychometric, Measurement and / or Statistics: designing psychometrically-sound diagnostic approaches (e.g. validation and research studies)
2. awareness of the latest AI-powered selection technologies and methodologies
3. a self-motivated individual who is able to work independently and autonomously: you take the initiative
4. an effective team player and values diversity
5. comfortable with ambiguity: you are able to work with broad directions and fill in the details. You expect changes to turn up along the way and readily adapt and work effectively in a fast-changing environment
6. strong relationship-building skills: you are able to build and leverage on large networks, including engaging and influencing at all levels
7. communicate well, both in the written and verbal form: Powerpoint, emails, meetings large and small – people understand and listen to you
8. have up to six years of relevant experience in the area of talent management, preferably in a consulting, or HR practitioner capacity; an understanding of the Public Service context would be advantageous
9. role is open for fresh graduates and secondment
About Civil Service College
The Civil Service College (CSC) is a statutory board under the Public Service Division, Prime Minister’s Office. We are the central learning institution for the Singapore Public Service and we partner government ministries and agencies to develop people for a first-class public service.
