What you will be working on
• Carry out safety audits, review risk assessments, method statements and safe work procedures to ensure contractors’ compliance with safety requirements. Coordinate and work closely with Consultant’s safety team to ensure all project stakeholders comply with safety standards and practices implemented on the project. Conduct random site inspections on progress of work and site safety.
• Perform independent design review of contractors’ submittals of equipment and systems to ensure compliance with specifications, safety and operational/maintenance requirements are met. This includes contractors’ or consultant’s proposed changes.
• Monitor contractors progress by monitoring the project schedule against actual work on site through regular monthly meetings.
• Oversee and monitor the T&C of equipment, reviewing the T&C plans and procedures and participating in the T&C activities.
What we are looking for
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 10 years relevant working experience preferably in the construction of water / wastewater treatment plants and management of large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Advantageous to have experience in design, operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment plants.
