What the role is
What you will be working on
Your responsibilities include the following:
- Perform treasury activities related to cash flow projection, portfolio investments, borrowings, debt, and capital management
- Monitor and assist in preparation of reports on the returns and risk performance of investment portfolios and external fund managers
- Assist in ensuring compliance with investment policy and guidelines and any statutory legislation
- Maintain accurate records of all investment activities and transactions
- Conduct research and analyse investments and green bond requirements
- Administer debt financing programme including monitoring debt compliance and servicing debt obligations
- Coordinate with legal teams and financial advisors on documentation for bond placement
- Support the development and review of treasury policies and procedures
- Maintain financial models and analytical tools
- Handle accounting and statutory reporting requirements
- Prepare investment committee presentations and meeting materials and provide secretariat support to the committee
- Assist in procurement of service providers and management of contracts
What we are looking for
This role might be for you if you possess the following qualities:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accountancy, Economics, Business Administration or related field
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in treasury, investments, or financial services
- Strong knowledge of financial markets and products
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills (including financial modelling) and intermediate PowerPoint skills
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of Bloomberg terminal
- Working knowledge of local regulatory environment related to finance, accounting and tax requirements
- Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI or Qlik Sense) and/or basic knowledge of Python for financial data analysis would be an advantage
- Strong quantitative and analytical abilities
- Detail-oriented with good planning and problem-solving abilities
- Good communication (written/verbal) and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and in teams
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- Able to meet deadlines and deliver quality work
