What the role is

As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will work closely with the HRBP and Business Units to meet the resourcing needs of the business. To develop and implement appropriate employee recruitment and retention strategies to support the attainment of business goals. As a key member of the HR business partnership team, you will assist in driving HR talent acquisition strategies and deliver initiatives to support SDC talents growth. As part of SDC's HR&A Division, you are also expected to be forward-thinking, collaborative and a team player in contributing to the Division's ongoing efforts to transform HR processes and service delivery within the organisation.

What you will be working on

Provide staffing solutions and manage talent pipeline to meet the needs of the business units. Devise and implement sourcing strategies to build pipelines of potential applicants. Create and implement end-to-end candidate hiring processes to ensure a positive experience. Initiate a range of sourcing activities, such as publishing vacancies, networking and conducting referrals, to ensure a regular supply of candidates that meet SDC’s current and future demands. Develop and manage the recruitment process through sourcing, screening and qualifying candidates, briefing and preparing candidates, organizing interviews and negotiating remuneration packages to ensure needs and expectations are met in a timely manner. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure a good understanding of their current and future priorities. Build, develop and maintain an in-house candidate database and systems to manage workflows, like tracking spreadsheets. Develop an effective working partnership with hiring managers to co-create a consistent and positive interview presence for candidates whether or not they become employees. Present impartial views and manage the expectations of hiring managers and candidates. Adopt a broader view of what is happening in the wider business and help brand SDC to potential employees. Acquire deep knowledge of what job seekers in specific niche markets are looking for and provide superior service and sound hiring advice to hiring managers. Provide insights on hiring plans, market demands and to provide viable hiring solutions. Other related duties or projects as assigned by the Reporting Officer.

What we are looking for

At least 5 years of experience in Talent Acquisition. Ability to build effective internal and external stakeholders’ relationships. Good interpersonal and networking skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills necessary to influence, inform and guide others are essential. Competent in using features in job boards like Linkedin and Jobstreet. Competent in preparing compensation proposals. Possess knowledge of Singapore Labour Laws / Employment Act / work passes under MOM is an advantage. Experience in using Workday and Microsoft 365 would be an added advantage. Experience in the Architecture, Engineering and Construction industry would be an added advantage.
