What the role is

As a Engineer / Senior Engineer (Instrumentation Control Automation (ICA) in Technology and Engineering Department (TED), you are part of the MEICA (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control and Automation) Team in TED to support / drive ICA engineering technical work in ICA engineering aspects for PUB, and in the water industry including applied R&D work in emerging technologies, and assist in work with Operations departments to resolve operational issues and future challenges where necessary. Your job role will include, but is not limited to the following:

What you will be working on

 Project Officer for Research and Development Facility Enhancement Project  To perform the duties of Superintending Officer’s Representative’s assistant  Process technical matters on ICA engineering for the project, and coordinate with other team members for various disciplines (Mechanical, Electrical and Civil).  To process administrative matters including payment to Contractor, managing meetings with stakeholders, variations, finalization, etc.  To support other TED projects on ICA engineering matters  Process the write-off of assets and automation of the write off process  Process the review of technical reports, tender documents, and project implementation reviews of MEICA projects.  Assist in management of the computerised Asset Management System and data analysis of the maintenance data  Assist in the facilities management of PUB’s Research and Development site in Tuas  Support electrical team on their energy management initiatives pertaining to ICA engineering systems and data analysis of the operation data  Assist in the review ICA of the risk register for MEICA assets on ICA engineering systems  Assist in review of standard specifications and design guide for ICA engineering practices in PUB  Document the details of relevant ICA engineering issues, lessons learnt, resolution strategies and design improvements  Support MEICA team to maintain and manage information in the MEICA Knowledge Hub  Scan latest technologies and developments in mechanical engineering, keeping abreast of those suitable for introduction in PUB, and initiate R&D projects with collaborators where appropriate During the work, you need to work closely with other sections in TED, other departments in PUB, Consultants and Contractors.

What we are looking for

• Degree in Engineering in Electrical disciplines, with at least 3-4 years’ relevant ICA experience. • Good IT, data analytics, communications, and interpersonal skills • Strong analytical and systematic thinking • Able to work well independently, and a resourceful team player • Self-motivated, and passion in building technical expertise • Candidates with practical knowledge and expertise in ICA equipment systems used in water systems will be preferred Work Location : PUB WaterHub, Toh Guan Road
