What the role is

Manager/ Deputy Manager, Sustainability, Transformation Office

What you will be working on

You will be part of a team responsible for coordinating and driving LTA’s environmental sustainability efforts in the following areas:

Sustainability strategy

  • Develop pathways to decarbonise the land transport sector taking into consideration evolving technology, economic and policy conditions
  • Develop sustainability priorities and establish goals/KPIs in consultation with management and stakeholders
  • Oversee and monitor portfolio of sustainability initiatives/projects across LTA
  • Drive alignment between sustainability targets and operating metrics
  • Support LTA Groups/line divisions in driving and executing projects to achieve sustainability targets
  • Provide sustainability advisory and secretariat support to working group teams on related topics and solutions
  • Identify and evaluate emission reduction opportunities and pathways where possible
  • Review new ESG (Environment, Social & Governance)/sustainability standards relevant to land transport sector to access impact and integrate requirements into wider sustainability framework and strategies
  • Conduct regular stakeholder engagement meetings to ensure objectives are met

Sustainability reporting

  • Research and benchmark latest ESG/sustainability trends and integrate recommendations into corporate objectives, reporting, and operations
  • Develop and operationalize sustainability reporting, including creating dashboards, data collection, data standards, data analysis, etc
  • Oversee and publish annual sustainability reporting in accordance with standards/requirements

Sustainability outreach

  • Coordinate sustainability outreach and partnership programmes
  • Develop and deliver sustainability-related communications to increase education, awareness and engagement of Sustainability initiatives
  • Potential to take on responsibilities beyond sustainability including corporate social responsibility effort and practices

What we are looking for

  • Knowledge in sustainability/environmental sciences, engineering, physics, economics or other related quantitative fields of studies
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in sustainability or related field, with a passion for sustainability
  • Good knowledge of sustainability issues, international standards such as ISO 14001 and ISO 14064, and best practices
  • Experience in sustainability report writing with reference to standards such as GRI Standards, TCFD, etc. is preferred
  • Strong analytical and project management skills to track progress and reporting across the organisation
  • Comfortable with matrix reporting and agile cross-functional working
  • Team player who is able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to growing requirements in the sustainability sphere
