What the role is

We are seeking a dynamic Road Safety Officer to lead our public engagement initiatives for Singapore's speed limiter implementation programme. This role is crucial in ensuring road safety through strategic stakeholder management and public education. You will be at the forefront of driving a nationwide initiative to achieve 100% speed limiter compliance for heavy vehicles by 2027, contributing directly to Singapore's road safety objectives. You will be placed under the Management Executive Scheme.

What you will be working on

What you will be working on Strategic Communications and Stakeholder Management In this role, you will lead engagement with various industry stakeholders through bi-monthly dialogue sessions with transport operators and logistics companies. Your responsibilities include developing and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including fleet operators, workshops, and equipment suppliers. You will also be tasked with creating user-friendly technical guides and communication materials tailored for different vehicle categories. Compliance Monitoring and Quality Assurance A key aspect of your role will involve overseeing the compliance monitoring framework for the speed limiter implementation programme. You will track and analyse monthly compliance rates, monitor installation standards across approved workshops, and conduct quarterly trend analyses of violation rates. Additionally, you will be responsible for implementing and overseeing random audits of installation centres to maintain high verification accuracy standards. You will also follow up with speed limiter violations detected by ground officers by notifying fleet owners to send their vehicles for inspections. Data Analysis and Performance Tracking You will lead the data analysis efforts for the programme, which includes generating comprehensive monthly compliance reports and analysing campaign effectiveness metrics. Your work will involve tracking adoption rates across different vehicle categories and preparing detailed quarterly trend analyses to inform strategic decisions. This data-driven approach will be crucial in measuring progress towards our implementation targets and identifying areas for improvement.

What we are looking for

Requirement • At least 2 years of working experience in service-related roles • Proficient in MS Office applications, especially MS Word and MS Excel • Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills • Good team player and at the same time, able to work well independently • Demonstrate a strong sense of integrity • Good time management and able to meet tight deadlines • Organised and detail-oriented • Committed and resilient under pressure • Able to handle difficult stakeholders and keep calm Short-listed candidates will be notified within two weeks after the closing date of applications.
