What the role is

You will be part of the Disease Response and Training Division, Crisis Strategy and Operations Group (CSOG). You will be responsible for the development of reinforcement strategies to enhance organisational capacity and resilience. The role involves assessing current organisational capacity and identifying areas for augmentation during a crisis. It includes the development of a HRF and reinforcement build-up plan that seeks to identify potential sources and pipelines to ensure a continuous source of volunteers. You will also assist in developing digital content for outreach and publicity.

What you will be working on

1. Assist to develop and execute strategic plans for reinforcement management, aligning initiatives with organisational goals. • Assist to develop and implement: • a HRF build-up plan and training schedule • reinforcement plan with appropriate activation sequences • a mobilisation plan for call up in times of crises 2. Assist in the pivot to crisis role in times of emergency • Closely liaise with agencies for activation of HRF • Operations deployment of HRF 3. Assist in outreach and publicity • Develop digital content for social media and website • Develop content for messaging platform

What we are looking for

• Possess strong competency to evaluate content and synthesise information to execute solutions that support section goals • Possess good analytical ability, good writing skills and effective communication skills • Knowledge of public health policies, infectious disease controls, and outbreak response protocols would be an advantage • Ability to operate effectively in high-pressure situations and demonstrate crisis management skills • Prior experience in lesson planning and delivering training programme, as well as social media content development, management and analytics would be an advantage Ideal candidate should also possess the following key competencies: • Thinking Clearly & Making Sound Judgements – Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities to support the crafting of sound policy recommendations; ability to grasp timelines, operating context and ground realities. • Learning & Putting Skills into Action - Possesses the drive and curiosity to learn and apply new skills, knowledge and new ways of working. • Improving & Innovating – Ability to seek continual improvements, and to innovate and experiment while managing the risks involved. • Working Effectively with Stakeholders – Ability to mobilise and rally partners and stakeholders towards a collective purpose. As part of the shortlisting process for this role, candidates may be required to complete a medical declaration and/or undergo further assessment.
