What the role is

You play a critical role in strengthening the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN) safety governance by developing, reviewing and maintaining safety policies to ensure alignment with the regulatory requirements, organisational objectives, and industry standards.

What you will be working on

- Monitoring of policy gaps and changes in safety legislation and standards - Conducting regular policy reviews and gap analyses - Identifying best practices to enhance RSN's safety management - Supporting the implementation of relevant updates and frameworks - Assist in analysis of Navy-wide safety issues such as workplace incidents and investigation findings - Provide recommendations to inform policy and risk acceptance decisions - Provide secretariat support to safety committees, including coordinating meetings, preparing reports, and maintaining accurate documentations Challenge(s) - Facilitating effective collaboration with staff from various branches in the department to achieve the departmental goals and objectives - Prioritising tasks and exploring possible ways or processes to manage increasing workload without compromising quality, efficiency and effectiveness - Understanding evolving Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements and fast-following into RSN Safety Policies and governance frameworks - Being cognisant with changes with national requirements

What we are looking for

- Education in Safety, specialist diploma in workplace safety and health (WSH Level C) - At least 8 years of experience in safety related roles - Good communication and interpersonal skills Only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
