What the role is

You will be part of MDDI’s Communications and Engagement Division that strategises, develops and drives communications and outreach plans for key areas of the Ministry’s work to engage hearts and minds and build a thriving digital future for all. Reporting to Deputy Director/CED, you will be required to oversee a small team of three officers in managing public feedback; driving corporate branding initiatives; and coordinating the division’s budget, workplan, key meetings, and photography support for MDDI events.

What you will be working on

You may also be required to support strategic engagement initiatives to further MDDI’s objectives. Key responsibilities include: • Supervise and guide a small team in managing public feedback and appeals, as well as managing our call centre vendor, to ensure quality service standards are upheld • Support strategic engagement initiatives for MDDI, including planning and implementing engagement strategy; identifying opportunities for partnerships; organising events and activities to engage partners and stakeholders; and conducting data analysis to understand public and stakeholder perceptions and sentiments • Oversee the coordination of the division’s budget, workplan, key meetings, event grids, and requests for speechwriting and photography support for MDDI events • Drive corporate branding initiatives, including working with vendors to develop corporate gifts, greeting cards, collaterals, and corporate videos for MDDI • Advise other divisions and agencies on the consistent application of MDDI and Smart Nation brand identities for corporate events and collaterals • Any other duties as assigned

What we are looking for

• At least 6 years of work experience in managing public feedback and/or driving corporate branding initiatives, preferably with experience managing a team • A tertiary qualification, such as in social sciences, mass communications, marketing, or public relations • Experience in managing public feedback, including developing and implementing SOPs and systems to manage and track the feedback • Ability to think strategically to develop and implement engagement plans and programmes • Ability in using data analytics to glean insights from feedback, surveys and focus group discussions • Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to write with empathy, and explain policies and technical topics in a clear and simple way • Strong interest in current affairs and keen sense of creativity • Self-starter and good team player, with proven project management skills, attention to details, and ability to manage multiple tasks under time pressure We regret to inform that only shortlisted candidates would be notified.
