What the role is

A little bit about who we are...
The Community Chest, formed since 1983, is the largest centralised fund-raising body for social services in Singapore to lighten social service organisations from the burden of fund-raising. The mandate of the Group was expanded in 2015 to include the role of Secretariat to the President’s Challenge, Office of the President of Singapore, and has gone beyond traditional fund-raising to engaging the community, public, family offices, foundations and the corporates in creating sustainable solutions to address social challenges and foster a more inclusive society.

The role as we see it...
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our Philanthropic Partnerships team, focusing on fundraising and partnership development with Corporates, individual donors, Family Offices, Foundations and Legacy Partners.

In this role, you will be responsible for crafting and executing strategies to engage philanthropic donors, corporations, and partners to support the mission and programs of the Community Chest of Singapore. You will lead efforts to secure funding while building long-term partnerships that maximize resources and drive social impact.

You will be required to work closely with partner and manage vendor to oversee the grant call and programme manage the grantees. Maintain a constant oversight of the deliverables for this grant and ensure that the vendor is able to meet the timeline agreed with the funder.

What you will be working on

Areas you should be passionate about and excel in...
1. Strategy Development: Create and implement comprehensive strategies to engage philanthropic donors and partners, aligning efforts with the organization's mission and objectives. Identify and establish partnerships with philanthropic donors, corporations, government agencies, trade associations, and Social Service Agencies (SSAs) to leverage resources and maximize impact. Identify and cultivate new donor segments/revenue streams by leveraging the extensive suite of NCSS resources, including matching grants and government-backed initiatives.
2. Grant Management: Partner and manage vendor to oversee the grant call and programme manage the grantees. Maintain a constant oversight of the deliverables for this grant and ensure that the vendor is able to meet the timeline agreed with the funder.
3. Sector Development & Advocacy: Foster and maintain strong relationships with individual donors, foundations, corporations, and other stakeholders to increase the giving of Time, Treasure and Talent. Lead sector-specific fundraising initiatives, including campaigns, events, and appeals, in close coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
3. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure fundraising efforts are aligned with organizational goals. Work with Committees and key stakeholders to strategise and implement various philanthropic and volunteerism initiatives.
4. Donor Management, Insights and Reporting: Develop and maintain systems for tracking and reporting on fundraising activities to ensure accountability and transparency. Utilize and refine donor data and insights to enhance donor experience and satisfaction. Ensure risk management / mitigation on systems and public facing platforms and touchpoints.
5. Strategic Communication: Craft compelling messages and materials that effectively convey the impact of philanthropic support and partnerships to donors, partners, and the broader community.

Skills Required:

1. Proven track record of successfully securing major gifts, grants, and/or
partnerships
2. Proven track record of programme/grant management

3. Excellent networking and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholders

4. Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the experience in crafting persuasive proposals and presentations

5. Advanced data literacy and comfortable with analysing
spreadsheets and dashboards


6. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
