What you will be working on

Responsibilities Co-led by Sport Singapore and Singapore Sports School (SSP), you will be part of a journey to support the vision for the next bound to build new capabilities for high performance sport and better integrate our programmes/policies to strengthen support for youth to senior athletes, and youth-to-senior transition. Shape the educational future of Team Singapore's elite athletes as a Senior Team Member in our spexEducation Programme. You'll lead the development of education pathways that enable our athletes to excel in both sport and academics, driving systemic transformation for athlete-friendly learning environments across Singapore's educational landscape. This pivotal role involves overseeing the spexEducation Undergraduate Scholarship Secretariat, forging strategic partnerships with educational institutions, and ensuring our athletes receive the tailored support they need to achieve dual-career excellence. The broad areas of responsibilities for the portfolio include the following: - Scholarship Governance & Administration: Manage the spexEducation Undergraduate Scholarship Programme end-to-end, including application and selection processes, financial management, stakeholder communication, and continuous process improvements whilst ensuring transparent administration and audit compliance. - Educational Partnership Development: Build and strengthen partnerships with Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs), private education providers, and international universities. Advocate for flexible study policies and embed athlete-friendly practices within institutional frameworks to create sustainable educational pathways. - Programme Design & Strategic Integration: Shape education support initiatives including flexible curriculum options, tutoring services, and advisory programmes that align with national sports priorities whilst integrating seamlessly into wider athlete life support systems. - Stakeholder Engagement & Advocacy: Represent athlete interests to institutional leaders, policymakers, and parents. Negotiate formal agreements and MOUs that secure long-term institutional support and commitment to athlete-students. - Team Leadership & Mentoring: Guide and develop junior staff within the Programme Office, building team capability, establishing clear standards, and fostering collaboration across departments to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery. - Performance Monitoring & Data Management: Maintain comprehensive athlete academic databases, track programme KPIs, and prepare data-driven insights that inform policy development and programme improvements whilst supporting evidence-based decision making.

What we are looking for

Requirements We are looking for self-motivated individuals who value integrity, teamwork and take pride in going the extra mile to provide excellent service to stakeholders and the community. This individual should be a sport advocate through living an active lifestyle and staying active. The ideal candidate should possess the following: • Background in Business Administration, Education, Sports Management, or related field • 7-10 years of working experience in education sector or sports management • Background in student support services or athlete development • Understanding of the sports ecosystem and athlete challenges • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities Only shortlisted applicants will be notified. The level of offer will commensurate with applicants’ experience and track records. Successful candidates will be offered a 1-year contract in the first instance.
