What the role is
What you will be working on
School of Sports and Health, whose vision is to be the leading educator in sports and health, invites applicants to join its motivated and passionate team.
The CET Associate Lecturer will contribute and deliver modules or courses in the following areas with relevant training up to PhD level in gerontology:
multi-dimensional aspects of ageing
significance of exercise adherence
Exercise Adherence 3As - Awakening, Acclimatising, Activating Framework.
analyse the status of older adults
appropriate strategies to support exercise adherence.
What we are looking for
• Degree in gerontology at PhD level
• Experience working in an organisation that works with seniors
• Candidates should be able to:
o Provide academic support, mentorship and constructive feedback to students
o Collaborate with staff on interdisciplinary initiatives and applied learning opportunities.
o Stay current with emerging trends, policies and best practices in coaching, sport science and child development
• Self-driven team-players with growth mindset who:
o independently lead and inspire learners
o complete duties to team standards in a timely manner
o pay attention to detail
o have good interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
o are proficient with Microsoft Office, administrative tasks and mark academic assessment.
• Able to commit to the scheduled runs of relevant CET courses
