What the role is
What you will be working on
• Develop and prototype climbing robot solutions across multiple disciplines, including electronics, mechanical, mechatronics, firmware, and software development.
• Collaborate with the team in the development process.
• Conduct field tests in outdoor environment, including night testing.
• Support exhibitions and roadshows as required.
• Supervision of FYP/internship students working on the project.
• Assist with the procurement process in accordance with the guidelines.
What we are looking for
The successful candidate should have:
• Strong coding experience in at least one of the following programming languages: Python, C, C++, and/or Java is highly preferable.
• Good hands-on experience and knowledge using Qt software and ROS2 are essential.
• Hands-on development skills using Raspberry Pi boards, Nvidia's development boards, and platforms are highly preferable.
• Strong communication and documentation skills, adaptability, and the ability to work well in a team.
• A relevant computer engineering, electronics, and communication qualification, or a related discipline.
• We welcome candidates with at least four years of working experience in software development, along with practical knowledge of Qt software and ROS2 applications.
