What the role is
Want to apply machine learning to analyse the innovation landscape in Singapore?
Join our team as an intern in the Business Statistics Division, where you will have the opportunity to research, ideate, and explore experimental statistics on innovative firms.
This experimental project focuses on collecting, cleaning, and analysing global innovation data to support the government agency efforts in driving innovation in our economy. Using online patent filing sources such as WIPO, USPTO, CNIPA, and JPO,you will be involved in gathering and standardizing data on patents, trademarks, and other innovation indicators for analysis.
This internship offers a unique chance to experience the full lifecycle of data analytics / data science projects, honing your skills while also gaining valuable experience and insights into the public sector.
What you will be working on
Key deliverable: Experimental indicators for the geolocation analysis of Singapore firms

What we are looking for
Required Skills:
Basic Programming Knowledge (Python/R); Data Preparation and Data Analytics skills
Preferred Skills (optional):
Experience with data visualisation tools such as Tableau or Power BI or Matplotlib
Preferred Discipline : Undergraduates from Computer Science / Data Analytics / Data Science / Business Analytics / Statistics /Mathematics / Economics
