Our division compiles statistics on the digital and green economies, as well as the supply, use, and input-output tables (SU-IOTs). As the compilation of statistics on digital and green economies is a recent initiative, we are looking to improve the statistical compilation process through: 1) Mapping current data processing workflows 2) Developing automation tools to streamline data compilation 3) Creating and maintaining a comprehensive database of companies engaged in digital and green activities, ensuring accurate sector classification and tracking, including the use of web-scraping/machine learning tools to identify the companies. This project will contribute to Singapore's efforts to measure the growth of digital and green economies. Over the course of this project, the intern will work with the team to identify process improvements and implement technical solutions.
