Internationally, there is a growing emphasis on measuring the economic, environmental and social dimensions of well-being and sustainability. This includes the international monitoring of the progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) which comprise 17 SDGs with 169 targets and 251 indicators used to measure progress towards reaching the targets.
Given this, we are developing and maintaining a database of indicators to track this area. The intern will be part of our team to assist in sourcing data and be directly involved in building/maintaining a database of well-being and sustainability indicators. The intern will also be involved in the development of a dashboard for these indicators.
With the enhancement of SingStat SDG webpage, the intern will be required to assist in consolidating inputs with external agencies and other DOS divisions to build a database of metadata for Singapore SDG indicators as well as in maintaining the SingStat SDG webpage.

What the role is
What you will be working on
• Acquire a deeper understanding of how well-being/sustainability is being tracked internationally and locally, and be up-to-date on the developments of internationally-recognised frameworks in these areas
• Collate and establish/maintain a database on well-being and sustainability indicators from various sources
• Develop a dashboard for effective visualisation of indicators
• Collate and build a database on SDG metadata for Singapore from various source agencies
