About the team and role
EDB’s Brand, Marketing and Communications (BMC) team spearheads EDB’s efforts in brand management, digital engagement, content marketing, events, and partnerships to establish Singapore as a trusted location for international investments.
We are seeking a highly driven and experienced Business Analyst (ICT Systems) to join our BMC team, where you’ll play a critical role in translating business requirements into secure, scalable, and sustainable IT solutions that enhance our digital marketing capabilities and ultimately supporting EDB’s mission to foster economic growth and development.
In this role, you will serve as the vital bridge between our marketing stakeholders and IT teams, conducting thorough requirements analysis, evaluating current state processes and marketing technology tools to design future state solutions that align with business objectives while meeting stringent security and governance standards.
You'll work closely with Content Marketing, Integrated Campaigns, Brand teams, and the IT Division to assess, recommend, and implement technology solutions that optimise digital customer journeys and support data-driven marketing initiatives.
The ideal candidate excels at translating complex business needs into precise technical specifications, has a passion for marketing technology ecosystems, and is skilled at managing stakeholders across diverse teams.
The position reports to the AVP of Digital Marketing.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis and Requirements Management
- Facilitate and document business requirements gathering through stakeholder interviews, and workshops
- Evaluate and recommend ICT solutions that best address organisational needs
- Prioritise product backlog and enhancements based on business value and technical constraints
- Contribute to the development of functional and design specifications
- Support smooth deployment, adoption and operations of solutions
- Analyse impact of requested changes during operations and maintenance phase
- Collaborate with developers for technical problem resolution
Technical Support and System Administration
- Assist in platform setup and maintenance activities
- Support feasibility studies and impact analysis for new tools and platforms
- Provide day-to-day system administration support
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues
- Support system testing of new features and capabilities
- Analyse system integration points and data requirements
Stakeholder Management
- Manage stakeholder expectations and facilitate communication between business users and technical teams
- Present technical solutions in business-friendly terms
- Coordinate with vendors for technical implementations
- Support users with technical queries and provide guidance for self-help
- Assist in documentation of system changes and new features
Compliance and Security Support
Support the Business Platform Owner with:
- Data requirements gathering and identifying potential risks associated with IT changes
- Documenting security assessments for new features or system changes and access reviews
- Coordinating security testing activities
- Process documentation and system information
