What the role is

The Research and Statistics Department (RSD) provides useful and timely data/ insights to support NEA’s formulation and review of policies, programmes and operations, with regard to the environment and environmental sustainability.

What you will be working on

As Assistant Manager/ Manager/ Executive Manager in RSD, you will be involved in the following:

  • Conduct surveys and behavioural research to understand public behaviour and sentiments

  • Manage the planning and implementation of surveys/behavioural science experiments, from sampling, questionnaire design, fieldwork and data processing

  • Analyse collated data to derive insights and propose recommendations

  • Apply statistical techniques on datasets to derive deeper insights.

  • Provide statistical advice to internal stakeholders

  • Perform environment scanning on the latest sustainability and environmental trends

What we are looking for

The job might be for you if you possess the following qualities:

•      Possess knowledge or experience in the fields of Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, and/or subjects with substantial quantitative

        content (e.g., regression)

•      Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to learn and apply relevant statistical and analytical tools (e.g. R, Python) and

        techniques for data compilation and analysis

•      Good communication and presentation skills

•      Demonstrate a keen interest in environmental issues

•      Able to work in a fast-paced and highly volatile environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at

        the same time
