What the role is
The Public Service Division (PSD) aims to build a first-class Public Service for a successful and vibrant Singapore. We do this through public sector leadership development, capacity and capability building and the promotion of quality services at all levels of the Public Service. We are looking for outstanding candidates with the vision and passion to contribute to help shape Singapore.
The Challenge
The People & Culture Group, a department in Public Service Division, provides strategic and operational shared HR services to many public agencies under its care. We implement best-in-class people practices to help public agencies build a high-performing and engaged workforce, enabling them to achieve their organizational mission and strategic goals.
Under the People & Culture Group, the Growth & Development team plays the role of learning consultant to a group of public agencies. We work with the PCG supported agencies to grow organisational capabilities and build a learning culture. The team also partners the agencies to develop officers' core, functional and leadership competencies to grow their career. As a #PPPintern, you will gain first-hand experience in organising various learning initiatives, designing learning experience through various communication channels and be involved in automation projects.
What you will be working on
Learning Areas
Our #PeoplePurposePossibilities internship will provide valuable exposure to the strategic and data-driven aspects of human resources, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of progressive people practices to agencies. You will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience as a consulting-practitioner through the following:
• Ideate and design the learning experience for each of the learning programmes using a data-driven approach
• Organise various learning programmes to build capabilities for the workforce (e.g. Annual Learning Day, Leadership Connect)
• Support the building of learning culture within the PCG supported agencies where each officer is empowered to take charge of his/her own learning
• Be part of data analysis and automation projects (e.g. AI chat bots and automation of routine tasks)
• Develop creative and engaging eDMs, communication and branding materials to support and elevate the learning experience

An ideal candidate should possess the following:
• [Thinking Clearly and Making Sound Judgements] Logical thinker, outcome driven and comfortable working with ambiguity.
• [Working Effectively with Stakeholders] Excellent communication and
interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. You
should possess good written and oral communication skills.
• [Learning and Development] Keen to explore new ways of learning and able to suggest creative and new ideas with a keen sense of programme and user experience design. Good project management skills, able to sense-make and propose sound solutions, and have a keen interest in leveraging data to drive development-related interventions.
