What the role is
The Public Service Division (PSD) aims to build a first-class Public Service for a successful and vibrant Singapore. We do this through public sector leadership development, capacity and capability building and the promotion of quality services at all levels of the Public Service. We are looking for outstanding candidates with the vision and passion to contribute to help shape Singapore.
The Challenge
ServiceSG's MyLegacy platform is supported by a 24/7 hotline service that generates significant data about citizen needs and service delivery. Understanding these interactions is crucial for improving service quality and operational efficiency.
As a Service Transformation Analytics Intern with ServiceSG's Service Transformation and Planning department, you will play a key role in transforming raw hotline data into actionable insights. You will analyze call patterns, assess service quality, and generate recommendations to enhance MyLegacy's business model. This role offers hands-on exposure to real-world data analysis, visualization, and strategic decision-making, giving you the opportunity to directly impact how we serve citizens better.
What you will be working on
Learning Areas
By joining our #PeoplePurposePossibilities internship, you will gain hands-on experience in:
Data Analysis and Insights Generation
• Analyze 3-6 months of 24/7 hotline data
• Identify call patterns, trends, and service gaps
• Categorize and classify different types of citizen interactions
• Assess reply accuracy and service quality metrics
Visualization and Reporting
• Create interactive dashboards for stakeholders
• Develop clear, compelling data presentations
• Generate regular performance reports
• Design data visualizations that tell meaningful stories
Business Impact and Recommendations
• Align findings with MyLegacy's mission and business model
• Propose data-driven improvements for hotline operations
• Present insights to stakeholders
• Support strategic decision-making with analysis

• Experience in Python/R programming languages. Ability to apply programming concepts (e.g., variables, data types, conditionals, loops and functions) to write code and troubleshoot errors.

• Apply data collection methodologies
• Ensure data accuracy and reliability
[Exploration Analysis & Statistical Techniques]
• Conduct exploratory data analysis
