As a member of the MSE finance team, you will be involved in the management of the ministry’s financial resources, supporting the implementation of the ministry’s strategic objectives through finance. You will be formulating, reviewing and operationalizing finance policies, procedures and controls relating to payments and claims.

What you will be working on

Your work will cover the following areas: i. Process payments and monitoring to ensure accuracy and timeliness of payments ii. Business partner to advise and guide stakeholders on payment/ claim procedures and compliance with Government guidelines iii. Perform trend and exception analysis on payments/ claims data using data analytics tools. Prepare reports on analysis, propose and take corrective measures if needed iv. Assist on management of grants reporting v. Be involved in stakeholder engagement, process improvements and system enhancements to drive greater efficiencies in the payment processes in MSE HQ. vi. Covering duties for revenue collections vii. Maintenance of Access Rights viii. Ad hoc projects may be assigned from time to time.

What we are looking for

a. A diploma in Accountancy, Business Administration, Finance or equivalent. b. Preferably one to three years of relevant experience. c. Independent, motivated and enthusiastic to learn d. Candidate to have good analytical and writing skills, be meticulous organised and have good interpersonal and communication skills. e. Ability to work independently and as a team in a fast-paced environment. f. Tenacious and thorough in pursuing work issues and able to meet deadlines. g. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Experience in data analytics and RPA software will be an added advantage.
