What the role is

Singapore Customs is looking for hands-on personnel with an ability to work in a team in a fast-paced environment to support the smooth running of operations in the Customs Operations Command. You will be part of our Intelligence & Investigation (I&I) Division, reporting to the Deputy Head, Operations Management. This position is based in the Customs Operations Command at 1 Bulim Drive S648171.

What you will be working on

You will be assigned a portfolio of the following duties: • Work with the appointed contractors to oversee the Facilities Management (FM) and security related matters in the Customs Operations Command (COC) to ensure smooth running of the building operations • Handle the day-to-day logistical operations of the COC to support enforcement operations • Management of seized exhibits stored in internal and external warehouses and ensuring the proper custody and disposal of case exhibits • Procurement and contract management to meet operational needs of the Intelligence & Investigation Division • Review work processes to ensure processes stay relevant and streamlined

What we are looking for

• Experience in facility management or engineering-related fields • Preferably with experience in government procurement procedures and contract management • Good interpersonal and communication skills, • Experience in project management, preferably in the public sector • Good team player, able to work with colleagues in teams to achieve desired outcomes

Singapore Customs is a government agency under the Ministry of Finance. Re-constituted on 1 April 2003, Singapore Customs is the lead agency on trade facilitation and revenue enforcement matters. It is also responsible for the implementation of customs and trade enforcement measures including those related to Free Trade Agreements and strategic goods.
